Thousand Oaks Ministries Inc. is a non-profit organization which began in 1990 in a coffee shop. Several residents from the Plum Coulee area got together to share and enjoy music at the local coffee shop. Due to overwhelming interest, the music nights had to be moved a few times. They are now held bi-weekly in Winkler, Manitoba, at the Winkler Elementary School. The general public is welcome.
From the music nights came another wonderful idea: the annual Thousand Oaks Gospel Camp Summer Festival - good ole' country gospel music, teaching, learning, sharing - all in the comfortable shade of a "thousand oaks" at the Stanley Centennial Park, south west of Morden, Manitoba. For this event, many volunteers are needed to ensure success. We are thankful to the Lord for providing all the talents that are required in the continuation of His
ministry.
